PERMANENT MAKEUP

PMU (Permanent Makeup) is the art of enhancing the eyebrows, eyeliner and lips through precise, long-lasting cosmetic tattooing. Each treatment is designed using the golden ratio (Phi 1.618) and detailed facial morphology to create harmonious, natural-looking results. To ensure symmetry, the Phi App is used as a guide, and all procedures are performed with fully disposable, sterile and hygienic equipment. PhiBrows Microblading and PhiContour offer advanced techniques that correct natural asymmetries, refine shape and colour, and enhance overall facial balance. PMU is suitable for anyone 18 years or older who wishes to improve or highlight the appearance of their eyebrows, eyes or lips.

PRE/POST TREATMENT CARE

PRE-TREATMENT GUIDELINES

Healthy skin ensures the best results. Treatments cannot be performed on irritated, damaged, or recently treated skin.

Avoid before your appointment:

  • Skin treatments (peels, facials, microneedling)

  • Aesthetic injectables

  • Sun or UV exposure

  • Alcohol or caffeine on the day

Contact me before booking if you:

  • Have eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, or active acne in the area

  • Have sensitive or reactive skin

  • Take medication or have medical conditions

  • Have previous permanent makeup

PMU AFTERCARE ADVICE

Normal reactions (first few days):

  • Swelling, redness, tenderness

  • Dry, flaking skin

  • Itching

Do:

  • Clean the area twice daily with the provided water wipes or a clean damp cotton pad

  • Apply a thin layer of balm with a fresh cotton bud each time (less is more)

  • For eyes: rinse with saline only, no balm

  • Use the balm minimally for 1 week

Don’t:

  • Pick, peel, or touch the area – this can cause uneven healing and infection

  • Apply makeup for 1 week

  • Use rich creams – thick layers suffocate the skin

  • Submerge in water for 1 week

  • Receive skincare or beauty treatments for 1 week

  • Wax, electrolysis, or laser near the area for 2 weeks

  • Expose the area to direct sun, tanning, jacuzzis, saunas, salt water, chlorinated pools, or direct shower spray for 2 weeks

  • Apply strong skincare near the area

  • Apply lash extensions or lifts for 2 weeks

Colour healing timeline:

  • Days 1–3: Colour appears darker and more defined

  • Days 3–7: Itching and flaking may occur; some pigment may come off in patches

  • After flakes fall off: Pigment may appear lighter, then blossoms over 6 weeks

Note: Some unevenness is normal; the second session corrects this.

Long-Term Care

  • Apply a good sunscreen (SPF 50 recommended) to prevent fading

  • Inform us if planning chemical peels, laser procedures, or MRI scans (pigments contain Iron Oxides, Titanium Dioxide, and Carbon)

  • Blood donors: you may not be eligible for 4 months post-treatment

SALT & SALINE PMU REMOVAL

Saline PMU removal is a gentle, natural method for lightening or removing permanent makeup by lifting the pigment out of the skin. A salt-based solution is implanted using a PMU machine, and through osmosis it draws the pigment toward the surface, where it becomes trapped in a small scab during healing. As the scab naturally falls away, some of the pigment is lifted with it. Discomfort is similar to the original procedure, and this treatment is especially suitable for sensitive areas such as the face. Multiple sessions may be needed depending on the depth and density of the pigment.

Per Session - £100
(90 mins)

Consultation

A consultation and sensitivity patch test is essential before booking a new treatment. A booking fee is required if you wish to book your appointment and this is offset against the price.

Please note:

Skin types and results vary considerably and you may require more than two treatments to achieve your desired result.

SALINE REMOVAL AFTERCARE GUIDELINES

Proper aftercare is essential for healing, preventing complications, and achieving the best results.

Keep the area clean and dry:

  • Leave the treated area open to air - do not cover with bandages.

  • Avoid touching; if necessary, ensure hands are clean and sanitized.

  • Do not soak the area; brief contact with water in the shower is fine, but avoid prolonged wetting.

Avoid for 7–10 days:

  • Bathing, swimming, saunas, hot tubs

  • Tanning or UV exposure

  • Intense exercise

  • Touching, picking, or scratching scabs - let them fall off naturally

Lips:

  • Drink with a straw until all scabs have naturally fallen off

  • Avoid peroxide toothpastes or teeth whitening

  • Eat soft foods and minimize wide mouth movements

After scabbing:

  • Only apply aftercare balm once all scabs have naturally fallen off

  • Continue balm for at least 4 weeks or until your next session

Timing between treatments:

  • Wait at least 8 weeks between lightening/removal treatments

  • Wait 3 months after your final saline treatment before any new permanent cosmetic procedure

Expectations:

  • Pigment removal is gradual; 3-6 sessions may be required depending on pigment depth and skin reaction

  • Colour correction may only lighten certain areas or densities; in some cases, full removal is necessary

  • Results cannot be guaranteed

Key reminder:

Patience is crucial - allow your skin to heal fully and follow all aftercare instructions to ensure the best outcome.
